The Show's History

The show Stranger Things takes place in the small town of Hawkins, Indiana in the 1980s, when a nearby experiment goes wrong. The Hawkins National Lab secretly expirments on paranormal. Unfortunatly the lab opened a "gate" to a alternate dimension known as the "the upside down". The creatures and things from the upsied down begin to spill into Hawkins. In the first season Will Byers is abducted by a beast from the upside down, his mom and the town police look for him. During this a girl the same age as Will and co. shows up with pshycic powers and helps find Will. But what they don't know is that this girl escaepd from the same Hawkins Lab that started all this, and she is a human test subject. The next season starts in October 1984, one year after season 1. At this point Will has been rescued and but we still don't know why he has these "episodes", which are like visions. But it turns out that something from the upside down is controling Will, and it is a even larger threat to them as the last time.
